GTFD 07:06
(explicit lyric warning) I've been waiting all week for this Workin' on the midnight hour You know I like to push My own sanity Tonight's no exception I'm gonna blow off some steam Let loose the caged animal That's inside of me Chorus: I'm gonna get the fuck down... Everybody wants to cut loose I know you been there yourself So pop a cold one and relax We're gonna kick back (Chorus) Yeah I've been waiting all week for this Workin' on the midnight hour You know I like to push my own sanity Gonna get the fuck down...

Emphasis 04:51
The red sun goes down hard Like every step on my heart The sidewalk turns to dust I thought I lost my footing, now I thought I lost everything I tried, I keep trying now You put your trust in me And I watched everything you do supersede your actions now I will not go down cryin' I will not go down now, I won't go down I won't go down I tried You said goodbye to the memory now Don't come back and start fighting me, no Don't you fight me now I tried

Time 03:53
Spend my time on myself Send my lies on myself Don't send lies on yourself With your lamp in the air It's too big not to see

Cold day started with a cold shower And you think it gets better, but you know it never will Eating cold cereal with cold, cold coffee The only thing warm is the fridge it all came from Chorus: Sunny days Seem so far away And I don't remember what it was we used to say We used to say we were so happy Living life like we were in a dream But we didn't know that we were so far from home So far from home When the snow turns brown and the flames consume the grass, a surprise will be what you've been waiting for like the winds of change that pass (Chorus) Colors fade now in the dying light Sun steals the day, and the chill sets back in I believe there's a day we'll dream somewhere else For now, I live where it has to begin (Chorus)

One false move & I'll have you Just one glance and I'll grab you Pick up the pieces you start to build Chorus: You don't know what you do to me when you move like you do All my friends tell me I got it bad They don't know what I do Sometimes I think I should call your sister She don't help me, there's just more bad advice (Chorus)

Pretending 03:01
Just one cup of coffee before we wake up and dust up the floor with our socked feet, shuffling by like ships in the night; When did we lose what we were? I go to hold your hand but it's busy, fussing with some other task and it cuts me I feel the weight of its absence heavy, deeply It's morning again, the screen draws you in A day spent together, but lonely The towels are all folded, the coffee is cold I'm pretending this is working for me Each morning light casts in on us sitting rigid in chairs in the kitchen, chewing our words and our oatmeal; When did this get so hard? And every night when I'm lying beside you, mind is a race of escape plans easier laid if we'd argued; We don't though, do we? Alone in the dark, we're inches apart The blankets are thick but I'm freezing “Enough is enough”, won't make me get up I'm pretending this is working for me

Room 12B 03:49
Standing in the room that I grew up in - Daddy tells me it all looks the same - But I ain't never been to Georgia, and daddy, he don't even know my name Playin' catch, he always taught me something Like how to use your glove to block the sun But he ain't who he was now And who he was was always on the run I was 24 in a hotel room, The number on the room was 12B; The telephone, it started ringing - "Daddy died last night," you said to me

Holes 05:29
Sometimes I feel like a Scantron test Girl 'cause you're pokin' holes in my chest, and the way you talk to me, I can't get no rest Yeah, you make me feel like a Scantron test Sometimes I feel like a target range Lord, it feels so very strange We can't keep going like this, something has to change Sometimes I feel like a target range With these holes in me, these holes in me I gotta leave you baby I just can't stay I can't just keep going on living & feeling this way I wish there was something Something you would do or say But I gotta leave
