Squeak was the fourth song recorded and in play order.
Squeak was a killer in terms of time for us... we were all getting tired and having trouble getting the tracks done correctly. Finally, around 7:30 AM we decided to take a 5 hour power nap and revisit the song. Unfortunately we had to scrap all the tracks we had previously recorded for this song and start from scratch.
But that's where the bad news ends: in this bouncy, driving track, Squeak looks at the difficulties of being unsatisfied with yourself and projecting that dissatisfaction onto others in your life. Joe Long delivers some cutting raps that are at once witty, funny, energetic, and thought-provoking.
