The Island was the first song recorded and the fifth in play order.
This jazzy tune should hopefully bring to mind an image of a lazy summer afternoon spent on a tropical island watching the waves pull pieces of the beach away and disperse them into the sea. In that respect, The Island is a metaphor for memory which has also been "washed away by time".
